Speaker : 1) Prof. Jack CHENG
Prof. Jack CHENG is the Professor and Associate Head in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Associate Director of GREAT Smart Cities Institute, and Director of BIM Lab at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He obtained his PhD degree from Stanford University. His research interests include BIM, digital twin, IoT, artificial intelligence, construction robotics, blockchain, construction and facility management, smart and low-carbon buildings, and construction digitalization. He has led a number of research projects in smart buildings and construction, including the development of the HKUST Digital Twin for a sustainable smart campus. He is an author of over 300 international journal and conference publications.

Prof. CHENG is currently the Chairperson of Committee on BIM and Construction Digitalisation, a Council Member, and a Member of Committee on Construction Safety at Construction Industry Council (CIC), and Editorial Board Member of several international journals. He is a Past Director of the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC), Past President of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Greater China Section, Past Chairman of the Autodesk Industry Advisory Board (AIAB), and Past Honorary Treasurer of the Hong Kong Institute of Building Information Modeling (HKIBIM). He is a Fellow Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Civil and Building Information Management (HKICBIM), Professional Member of the HKIBIM, CIC Certified BIM Manager (CCBM), CIC Certified BIM Coordinator (CCBC), and Certified Carbon Auditor Professional. He has received the Construction Industry Outstanding Person Award in 2019 and Young BIMer of the Year in 2014 from CIC, and several research and paper awards in international conferences.

2) Mr Timothy LOK
Manager, Building Services – Technical Services & Sustainable Development
Swire Properties Limited

Timothy LOK is Manager, Building Services of Technical Services & Sustainable Development at Swire Properties. He is responsible for establishing the 1.5°C aligned Science-Based Targets, setting energy performance targets, and identifying energy reduction and decarbonization strategies to pave way for the company in advancing towards a net zero future. To achieve this, he leads the digital transformation of technical services, including the implementation of Cloud-Based Smart Energy Management Platform across portfolios in both Hong Kong and Chinese Mainland, and leads the team in the identification and piloting of innovative technologies. He is also responsible for the energy analysis and retro-commissioning of buildings to continuously improve building energy performance and achieve the corporate’s decarbonization targets.
Timothy is a member of HKGBC Climate Change Framework for Built Environment, Chapter 3 (Operational Carbon) Expert Group. As a member, he helped to develop the Zero-Carbon-Ready Building Certification, launched in September 2023. He is also currently a member of HKGBC’s Sustainable Development Committee.

3) Ms Grace KWOK
Chairman and Executive Director
Allied Sustainability and Environmental Consultants Group Limited

Grace is the Chairman and Executive Director of AEC Group and Chief Sustainability Strategist of AEC Capital Ltd. She is a seasoned sustainability professional with a background in environmental engineering. As the recipient of the 2023 APEC Bio-Circular-Green Award, Grace is a keen advocate of regenerative sustainability for the built environment with 20+ years’ experience in sustainable design and green building projects in Hong Kong, China, and across Asia-Pacific. She is currently the Director of the Hong Kong Green Building Council, Founding Vice President of the Greater Bay Area Carbon Neutrality Association, and Director of the Hong Kong Institute of Qualified Environmental Professionals. Grace is also the Co-Chair of the Real Estate Working Group under the Hong Kong Green Finance Association. Outside Hong Kong, she has led AEC Group to become WorldGBC’s Asia Pacific Net Zero Collaborator while sharing best practices through her roles in the GRESB Real Estate Standards Committee, LEED Technical Advisory Group, BRE ESG Advisors Club and IWBI Health Equity Advisory. Grace works with the real estate and finance sectors through ESG and Green Finance advisory to build climate resilience and accelerate net-zero transition.

4) Ir Dr Cary CHAN, JP
Executive Director
Hong Kong Green Building Council

Ir Dr Cary CHAN, JP is a professional engineer and is currently the Executive Director of Hong Kong Green Building Council with the vision of driving the green building agenda for Hong Kong. Cary is regarded as an expert on building energy efficiency by the industry. Cary has carried out a lot of researches relating to the enhancement of building energy efficiency. Up to now, a number of his work have won international awards. Cary played a key role in establishing Hong Kong’s Green building assessment tool back in 1995. Since then he has been playing a leadership role on sustainable buildings within Hong Kong and abroad. He is actively involved in promoting net zero carbon emissions in the building sector.
