To catch up with global energy transition trends, AI is regarded as the next general purpose technology for energy analytic. CE100 HK has been working closely with a smart technology partner. The Team made use of data mining and A.I. approach for data acquisition and analysis. A Building Operation System (BOS) is connected with their original Building Management System (BMS) to help identifying the energy saving opportunities (ESOs) and predict optimised action outcome. More and more buildings have adopted a continuous artificial intelligence (A.I.) retro-commissioning (RCx) for maximising chiller plant efficiency.

With the huge amount of data in the cloud storage system learnt by algorithm, a lot of system optimisation works can be done by the A.I. system. A COP-based system is deployed here to select data of the same period for comparison between different chillers by machine learning and data mining, looking into the major reason of COP differences.
