Brief Introduction Advanced Manufacturing Centre (AMC)

Upholding the idea of “Innofacturing Tomorrow”, HKSTP pioneers the development of Industry 4.0 enabled manufacturing facility, AMC at Tseung Kwan O INNOPARK.
Gammon has implemented Construction 2.0 initiatives, which are in line with Industry 4.0 concepts, for delivery of AMC: Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) in the form of pre-fabrication of MEP systems and precast reinforced concrete construction have significantly reduced on-site labour resources, safety risk for working at height and construction time.

Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Common Data Environment (CDE) have allowed for sharing, collaborating and versioning in order to optimize building design and construction process, detect design clashes and control construction wastage and cost. 4D BIM scheduling and simulation application has helped validate works plans to avoid abortive works. 5D BIM has been used to facilitate interim payment valuation process. Digital Works Supervision System (DWSS), comprising mobile apps, dashboard and real-time alerts, has supported tasks of inspection process in seamless and eco-friendly manner.
