Details :

There are a lot of happenings in the global and local economy. The US Federal Reserve has just raised the Fed Funds Rate for the first time since 2018, and is likely to lift interest rates further this year. Meanwhile, the People's Bank of China lowered reserve requirement ratio in April and may further ease liquidity to boost economy. Surging global energy prices coupled with impacts brought by the Covid-19 pandemic, like increased logistics costs, have caused high inflation globally, a major issue to be tackled by governments around the world. Real estate investment is traditionally known as an effective investment tool for hedging inflation. Would more capital be drawn to real estate investment in 2022? Given mixed signals in the market, the speaker will discuss how those global and local economic events could affect property prices and investment trends in Hong Kong and mainland China across different real estate sectors.
