The Head of Special Projects (Project Management) of New World Development Co Ltd.

Jeff is a Hong Kong Registered Architect and a Fellow Member of Hong Kong Institute of Architects. He graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 1985 and has been working in the building industry for more than 35 years, in which more than 15 years in Private Development sector. He has extensive experience in the planning, architectural design and project management of mixed-use, commercial and hotel projects in Hong Kong, PRC and South-east Asia.

Jeff is the Head of Special Projects (Project Management) of New World Development Co Ltd, and he focuses on the project management of NWD’s special projects, with an extended role to involve in the cultural preservation and heritage propagation of the Group particularly in the architectural scope. Jeff is also a Director for Culture for Tomorrow (CFT), a non-profit organization of NWD founded in 2017 by cultural entrepreneur Adrian Cheng, to empower Hong Kong’s rising change-makers and their creativity.

Jeff’s major projects completed for NWD includes the Remodeling of New World Centre into Victoria Dockside and the Rejuvenation of Tsim Sha Tsui Waterfront in Hong Kong. He is currently managing the State Theatre Revitalisation Project, and the Comprehensive Development in Wangjiang Redevelopment Zone, Hangzhou, PRC.

Details

Jeff finds his passion in architectural design and, in his leisure time, fine-art photography. He is interested in architectural, landscape and street photography. His photos are distinctive in his use of unique angles, perceptions and compositions to capture his objects.

In addition to the functional and technical requirements, aesthetical consideration always play an important role in the architectural design. To inspire the audiences, Jeff would use some of his photography works, like his unconventional take on architecture, urban cityscape and natural landscape in Hong Kong, to illustrate how the building design even a tiny working details of it would affect our daily live and vibe of the city.

The event will be conducted online via ZOOM. Upon successful payment of the registration fee, the ZOOM link for joining the CPD event will be available in the CPD/PQSL profile under the "Member Area" of the HKIS website.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

1.	I confirm that I fully understand and accept the risk of joining the above visit. Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.
2.	Members participating in the above visit shall be in good health condition.
3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
