Speaker	:	Mr. Eugene Seah Eugene joined the Surbana Jurong Group on 1 January 2017 as Senior Director, Group CEO’s office, to spearhead and oversee the Group’s special projects and strategic initiatives, in particular, Digital Management Office, and Sustainability and Resiliency Office. He is the Managing Director for Surbana Technologies, the Smart Cities arm for SJ. He is also a Director on the Boards of Threesixty Cost Management and Threesixty Contract Advisory, for which his knowledge and expertise help to fortify the business thrust of the Group. He is also the Managing Director of Surbana Technologies, the Smart Cities arm of the SJ Group. Eugene graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) (1st Class Hons) from the University of Reading in 1999 and a BSc in Technology Management and Computing (1st Class Hons) from the University of Portsmouth in 2002. He also completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Construction Law and Arbitration from the joint NUS and Kings College London programme, an MSc in Sustainable Building Design from the University of Nottingham, and the Senior Management Development Program from Harvard Business School Apart from his extensive experience in Quantity Surveying, Eugene injects sustainability value management and green approaches into his work to achieve project efficiency. He is a Green Mark professional and is knowledgeable in the field of sustainable buildings. He is also an Accredited Adjudicator under the Singapore Mediation Centre and a registered Mediator in the Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers. Eugene works on enhancing productivity in Design and Construction and research on Computational BIM, xR and other productivity enhancement topics for the Surbana Jurong Group. His effort has won him several awards for SJ, including RICS Construction Professional of the Year (2019). Passionate about teaching, Eugene is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Department of Building, School of Design and Environment, National University of Singapore.

Details	:	Sustainability is not a must in most, if not all designers, from Urban to Infrastructure. The concept of Building as Material Banks (BAMB) is fast catching up as a tool to help in the sustainability of a project and the Quantity Surveyor (QS) is in prime position to lead this and work together with fellow consultants to promote sustainable buildings. This seminar briefly talks about what is BAMB and how can the QS is in prime position to promote BAMB, using technologies like BIM as an enabler.

Upon successful payment of the registration fee, the ZOOM link for joining the CPD event will be available in the CPD/PQSL profile under the "Member Area" of the HKIS website. On-line registration is not applicable for non-HKIS members. 1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.
2.	Members participating in the above visit shall be in good health condition.
3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
