2013-2014 Annual General Meeting

Our Division held its 2014 Annual General Meeting (AGM) at 7PM on 25 November 2014 in the Surveyors Learning Centre. There was no election for this year. The agenda was:

1)    Apologies for absences

2)    Adoption of the minutes of the AGM held on 8 November 2013

3)    Chairman’s Report for 2013-2014

4)    Honorary Treasurer’s report for 2013-2014

5)    Any other business

During the AGM, our Honorary Treasurer reported that the financial position of the Division was healthy and the unaudited accumulative balance, as at 31 October 2014, was HK$163,504.77.

 

In addition, some members asked about the Division’s future role and way forward. We intend to focus on:

1)    Organising more CPDs for the benefit of members

2)    Increasing membership

3)    Taking better care of APC candidates

4)    Enhancing cooperation with universities in Hong Kong and China to provide more cognate degree courses for the Division

 

HKIS Annual Dinner on 28 November 2014

The Division booked one table for its Council members and guests. The Annual Dinner was one of main functions of the HKIS’s 30th Anniversary.

 

PDD CPD “Railway and Property Model – MTR Experience in Hong Kong and the Mainland” at 7PM on 1 December 2014

The PDD organised the CPD and invited Sr Victor HF Chan, General Manager – China Property of the MTR Corporation, Ltd., as its guest speaker. Over 120 participants attended and found the talk very enlightening.

 

PDD One-day Site Visit to MTR Metro Line 4 Depot Property Development – “Tiara” (港鐵.天頌) in Shenzhen on 10 January 2015

The PDD will arrange a site visit to Shenzhen to give its members an opportunity to understand the “Railway and Property Model” implemented in China and the development of the Line 4 depot.
